Green Day

It's St. Patrick's Day!  We started the day with - nope, not Irish - but Southern American Breakfast at Wishbone.... then we headed to the Chicago Riverwalk right by Wacker to check out the dyeing of the river green.  This is a tradition here in Chicago and though I've probably had about 5 St. Patrick's Days here in the last few years, it's the first time I've actually checked it out and (sort of) participated in the celebration.  Here are some pictures.  Mostly at Wacker and N. Michigan.

By the way, last 9 photos: Magnolia Bakery, Takashi Yagihashi Noodles and Karaage, State Street, and Dublins Bar at the back of our apartment.

  3. What an AMAZING sunny day in Chicago - in March! It looked like spring. I can't believe they really dye the river green! How does the color fade? Looked like a fun day :)

    1. Hey Mia... I have no idea! I think it just fades naturally, like in a month or so.
